Plant & Equipment Register - What are Upload and Review Templates?

Understand how upload and review templates work within the Plant & Equipment Register.

Upload and Review Templates control what information is captured when plant and equipment are added to the register and when they are reviewed.

Each Register Item Type can have both an upload template and a review template assigned to it.


What is an Upload Template?

An upload template is completed when a new plant item is added to the register.

It can be filled out by:

  • A company (subcontractor), or

  • An admin (builder)

The upload template captures the required documentation and details for that equipment type.


What is a Review Template?

A review template is completed by an admin when reviewing a plant item submitted to the register.

It allows the admin to document:

  • Review checks

  • Compliance notes

  • Approval-related information

Review templates act as a documented record of the review process. They do not automate approval workflows.


How to edit Upload and Review Templates

To configure templates for a specific item type:

  1. Go to Asset Management

  2. Select Registers

  3. Click All Registers

  4. Click More

  5. Select Edit Item Types

  6. Select the item type you want to edit

From here, you can configure both the upload template and the review template for that equipment type.



How templates are built

Upload and Review Templates are created in the same way as standard forms in BuildPass.

You can use the same form blocks and structure to design the templates according to your requirements.
