Register Item Types define the categories of plant and equipment that can be added to your Plant & Equipment Register.

These types help standardise data entry and determine which additional templates or fields may apply to specific equipment.

Examples of common plant & equipment types

Typical register item types may include:

  • Backhoe

  • Concrete Placing Boom

  • Excavator

  • Skid Steer

  • Grader

  • Forklift

  • Telehandler

  • Tip Truck

  • Concrete Line Pump

  • Crane

  • Boom Lift

  • EWP – Scissor Lift

You can customise this list to suit your business requirements.

How to edit Register Item Types

  1. Go to Asset Management

  2. Select Registers

  3. Click All Registers

  4. Click More

  5. Select Edit Item Types

From this screen, you can:

  • Edit existing register item types

  • Add new register item types

  • Categorise your plant and equipment

Configure upload and review templates

Each Register Item Type can have:

  • An upload template

  • A review template

These templates allow you to define what information or documentation is required when that equipment type is uploaded or reviewed.

If you need sample templates to get started, contact our team and we can provide examples.
