Plant & Equipment Register - Create a Register that Allows Company Uploads

Set up a Plant & Equipment register correctly so subcontractors can upload their own items.

Before you start

To allow subcontractors to upload plant items:

  • The register type must be Plant & Equipment

  • The setting Allow companies to manage register items assigned to them must be enabled

The register type cannot be changed after creation.


You can create a Plant & Equipment register and rename it to suit your needs.


Create a new Plant & Equipment register

  1. Log in to BuildPass Admin.

  2. Select Safety.

  3. Open the Registers module.

  4. Click Create Register.

  5. Select Plant & Equipment as the register type.

  6. Enter a register name.

  7. Click Create.


Enable subcontractor uploads

  1. Open the new register.

  2. Click More.

  3. Click Edit settings.

  4. Enable Allow companies to manage register items assigned to them.

  5. Save your changes.


Important to know

  • The register must be created as Plant & Equipment.

  • The register type cannot be changed after creation.

  • Subcontractor uploads will not work if the register is created as any other type.

  • You can create multiple Plant & Equipment registers if required.
