What is a site induction?

A site induction introduces workers to site-specific safety requirements when they arrive on site.

In BuildPass, a site induction is the process workers complete when they first arrive on a specific site. It ensures they understand the safety practices, procedures, and protocols that apply to that site.

How Site Inductions Work in BuildPass

The site induction process is typically started by scanning a QR code on site and includes the following steps:

  • Completing the worker profile

  • Completing the templated site induction

  • Uploading any required certifications

  • Signing onto relevant Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)

  • Signing on for the day

Customisation and Compliance

In BuildPass:

  • The site induction template can be customised to suit the project

  • Required certifications can be set based on site needs

  • The SWMS a worker signs are submitted by their employer and approved by the builder

This helps ensure workers meet site requirements before starting work.

The site induction process supports compliance with health and safety requirements and helps reduce risk on site.
