How to reconnect BuildPass to Procore

We're upgrading the Procore integration. Your day-to-day Procore workflow in BuildPass stays the same: the only step for most existing customers is to reconnect Procore when BuildPass prompts you.

Written by Kina Desyanandini

Why reconnect

The upgraded connection gives BuildPass direct control over syncing and retrying Procore updates, which makes the integration faster to troubleshoot and more reliable over time. Reconnecting is the step that moves your account onto the upgraded connection. Your connected projects, companies, folder settings and sync settings carry over.

There's no need to disconnect the old connection first: reconnecting moves your account across in one step.

How to reconnect Procore

Before you get started

Make sure that you are a Procore admin, or a Procore user with access to the company and projects your BuildPass account syncs.

Step 1: Open your integration settings

Go to Settings > Integrations in BuildPass, find the Procore card and click Reconnect

Step 2: Sign in to Procore

You'll be redirected to Procore to sign in. Use a Procore account with access to the company and projects your BuildPass account syncs. A Procore admin is the best choice.

Step 3: Approve the connection and return to BuildPass

After you approve, Procore returns you to BuildPass automatically.

Step 4: Confirm your Procore company if asked

BuildPass may ask you to confirm which Procore company to connect. This check makes sure BuildPass connects to the right Procore account. If you're not sure which company to select, contact our Support team.

Step 5: Review your mappings and sync settings

In Settings > Integrations, click Configure on the Procore card to review your Procore project and company mappings, then check your sync settings are set the way you want them.

There's no need to disconnect the old connection first: reconnecting moves your account across in one step.

What stays the same

You'll keep using Procore in BuildPass exactly as you do today:

  • Connect Procore from Settings > Integrations

  • Map Procore projects to BuildPass projects

  • Map Procore companies to BuildPass companies and subcontractors

  • Sync supported documents and PDFs into your Procore folders

  • Sync site attendance into Procore Daily Log manpower, when enabled

  • Receive Procore updates in BuildPass automatically

What to expect after reconnecting

Syncs catch up automatically after you reconnect. Most accounts are up to date within a few minutes; accounts with a large number of projects and companies can take up to 30 minutes.

FAQs

Will my mapped projects and companies carry over?

Yes. Your connected projects, companies, folder settings and sync settings carry over to the upgraded connection. If something looks out of date straight after reconnecting, give syncs up to 30 minutes to catch up.

Will Procore updates still sync automatically?

Yes. BuildPass continues to receive supported Procore changes and syncs them automatically.

What if projects or companies don't appear after reconnecting?

First, try bulk-syncing manually:

2. Click Configure on Procore

3. Open the Projects or Companies tab.

4. Click Sync/create all.

If projects or companies still do not appear, ask a Procore Company Admin to check the BuildPass app in Procore App Management. Then, in Procore:

1. Open Account & Admin Settings under your profile on the top right

2. Go to App Management

3. Find the BuildPass app

4. If BuildPass is not installed, install it

5. If BuildPass is installed but BuildPass still cannot load projects or companies, uninstall and reinstall the BuildPass app

6. Return to BuildPass, refresh the Integrations page, and reconnect again if prompted

This refreshes the Procore-side app connection and can resolve cases where the app appears installed but Procore is still not allowing BuildPass to access project data.

When should I contact support?

Reach out if any of these happen:

  • Procore doesn't return you to BuildPass after you approve the connection

  • The Procore company you expected isn't listed at the confirmation step

  • Data still looks out of date more than 30 minutes after reconnecting

  • You see a Procore permission or sign-in error

  • Documents aren't arriving in the expected Procore folder
