BuildPass automatically signs workers off at midnight by default. The Night Shift setting lets workers remain signed on past midnight so you can accurately track attendance and sign-on records for overnight work without interruption.
Why use Night Shift
Construction sites running overnight works — shutdowns, pours, fit-outs — need workers to stay signed on continuously across midnight. Without this setting, workers are automatically signed off at midnight and would need to sign on again, creating broken sign-on records and extra friction for workers on site.
How to enable Night Shift
Step 1 — Go to Site Timings
Open your project and navigate to Settings > Projects, select your project and click on the Site Timings tab.
Step 2 — Enable Night Shift
Toggle on Night Shift mode to allow workers to remain signed on past midnight.
Step 3 — Save your changes
Confirm the setting is saved. Workers who are signed on at midnight will now remain signed on until they manually sign off or until the next scheduled sign-off time.
Things to know
Night Shift applies per project — enable it on each project where overnight works are planned.
Night shift mode can also be applied on all projects and you can just click on the "Apply to all active projects" button.
Workers will not be automatically signed off at midnight when this setting is active.
Sign-on records will reflect the full duration of the shift, including time past midnight.
