Communicating with Workers Already Signed Onto the Site

For workers currently on-site, you can send a message through Messages to ensure they are notified of any changes or announcements.

  • Open BuildPass and navigate to Messages.

  • Create a New Message
Click New Message and enter the shutdown details, including:

    • Reason for the shutdown

    • Expected duration

    • Any immediate actions required

  • Select Recipients
Choose All Inducted Workers to notify everyone currently signed onto the site.

  • Send the Message
Review the message and click Send.

This ensures all on-site workers are promptly notified and can take appropriate action.

Communicating with Workers arriving to site

Communicate changes to workers as they arrive using the Notices feature. This is important as some workers may be arriving to the site for the first time making them unavailable for messages

  • Open BuildPass and go to Notices.

  • Create a Notice
Click Create Notice and include key details:

    • Reason for shutdown

    • Expected duration

    • Any instructions for workers

  • Share the Notice
Workers will see the notice when they scan the QR code to sign onto the site and must acknowledge the notice before proceeding.

  • Monitor Acknowledgements
Track which workers have seen and acknowledged the notice in the Notices module.

This prevents unnecessary travel to the site and ensures clear communication with workers arriving to a site that has been shut down.
