Editing a Defect
To edit a defect in BuildPass, follow these steps:
From the Defects Tab
Step 1: Navigate to the Defects tab within your project
Step 2: Find the defect you want to edit in the list
Step 3: Click on the defect to open it
Step 4: Click the Edit button (usually appears as a pencil icon)
Step 5: Make your desired changes to the defect details
Step 6: Click Save to confirm your changes
From the Mobile App
Step 1: Open the BuildPass mobile app
Step 2: Navigate to your project
Step 3: Tap on the Defects section
Step 4: Select the defect you wish to edit
Step 5: Tap the Edit option
Step 6: Update the necessary information
Step 7: Tap Save to apply your changes
What You Can Edit
Defect title and description
Status (Open, In Progress, Fixed, Closed)
Priority level
Assigned person or team
Due date
Location (if using the location feature)
Photos and attachments
Note: The ability to edit defects depends on your user permissions within BuildPass. If you don't see the edit option, you may need to request additional permissions from your project administrator.
