When reviewing completed forms in BuildPass, you may want certain answers to stand out at a glance. You can do this by promoting a form field so it appears as a column in the table view, allowing you to quickly scan and compare responses.

What Does “Show in Table” Do?

The Show in Table option allows you to take a question from a form and display its answer as a column wherever responses to that form are shown in a table.

This is useful for highlighting important details such as:

  • Incident type (for example, near miss)

  • Risk level

  • Outcome or status

  • Any key classification or identifier

How to Highlight a Form Field in the Table View

Step 1: Edit the Form Template

  • From the form view, click Edit Template.

  • Locate the question you want to display in the table.

Step 2: Enable “Show in Table”

  • Scroll down within the question settings.

  • Enable the Show in Table option.

  • Click Save to update the form template.

Step 3: View the Updated Table

  • Return to the form or checklist list view.

  • The selected question will now appear as a column in the table.

  • All responses to that form will display the answer for this field.

Important Notes

  • Any question in a form can be promoted to appear in the table.

  • The table view will update automatically once the template is saved.

  • This applies to all responses for that form, past and future.

When to Use This Feature

Use Show in Table when you want to:

  • Quickly identify trends or classifications

  • Scan large numbers of form responses

  • Highlight critical information without opening each form individually
