Why does BuildPass need my phone number?

At BuildPass, we use workers' phone numbers as a form of identity verification in lieu of emails and passwords.

We know how annoying it is to remember passwords, so we get around this by just sending you a text message to verify your account.

Safety First

Companies using BuildPass are able to send SMS to communicate with workers currently on site. This is to keep you updated about hazards, risks, emergencies and anything else you need to get your job done.

We also find that notifying you of an incident or action requiring your attention is a lot more straightforward via SMS, saving you the need to check your emails while you are on site.

Data and Applications

While it is recommended you download the BuildPass mobile app for ease of use, we support a browser based experience that means you don’t need the BuildPass app to get the most out of BuildPass.

Your Data, Your Control

BuildPass doesn't use your phone number to market any information to you, nor do we send your information off to any third parties. The data you provide to BuildPass is owned by you, not the builder you work for, and not BuildPass. You have the right to delete your information from BuildPass at any time but keep in mind a record of any documents (e.g, Inductions/Orientations, JSA’s/SWMS etc) you have signed will be retained by the relevant company. Please review our privacy policy if you have any queries.
